Basswood
Basswood has a whitish to brownish core, slightly lighter sapwood. Odourless, uniform wood with visible annual rings. Very easy to process, as the type of wood is soft and light, e.g. therefore, basswood, also called American Linden, is much preferred for hand-carved work.
There are not many bumps and other defects. Used for food packaging, wooden blinds, hand-carved wood products, guitars and wood wool.
