Oregon Pine
The sapwood of an Oregon Pine tree is narrow and light yellowish, the heartwood is yellowish to reddish brown and deepens in color when exposed to air. When fresh, it smells aromatic and is slightly resinous. This North American wood is very strong for its weight. Light brown color with reddish stripes. Easily workable type of wood, good for gluing. Oregon Pine is frequently used for windows, doors, flooring and fixtures, interior and exterior.
