Kempas
Kempas has a reddish/golden, later darker red core, veins and scattered rather coarse pores. Tough, strong and wear-resistant type of wood with high impact fracture strength, but not commonly used in the wood industry, however it is seen as a floor plank. Kempas is especially used in heavy constructions such as bridge decks and horse boxes.
